The "one-size-fits-all" approach does not provide the highest level of turbo performance for every vehicle or driving situation. That's why Gizzmo Electronics has several models available in their electronic boost controller line. Gizzmo's IBC-R allows users the ability to increase or decrease the vehicle's turbo boost duty by 500RPM within the range of 2000 to 9000 RPM in order to provide smoother boost transitions when accelerating. The Gizzmo MS2 has all the functions of the MS-IBC and also senses exactly how hard your turbo is working and provides control during the critical turbo cool-off period. Gizzmo's MS-IBC multi scramble function provides push button control adding the same amount of boost even if you want it before the scramble time is completed. This Tactrix 3-Port Boost Control Solenoid uses the same high quality German solenoid previously sold by Prodrive. When tuning with aftermarket engine management, this will allow you to take control, and raise the factory boost level. The factory boost control solenoid is not capable of handling high boost pressures, and will become uncontrollable at higher pressure. This is controlled by any aftermarket engine management that allows you to set wastegate duty cycle. Comes with harness for plug and play install with Mitsubishi or Subaru. Please note that while mechanically and electrically speaking this solenoid is plug-and-play, it absolutely requires map changes in your engine management to operate safely and control your boost levels.

Gizzmo’s MS2 shares and builds on the proven precision boost control strategy of the MSIBC whilst also sporting a fully configurable turbo timer and boost cut remover (note 1). Our reasoning behind the addition of the turbo timer is that the cool off period of a turbo is directly proportional to the heat of the turbo which is generated by the amount of work that your turbo does. The MS2 knows exactly how much work your turbo has been doing so it seems ideal that it too would be in control of the cool off period. The MS2 also has a boost solenoid supervisor so if for any reason your boost control solenoid malfunctions the MS2 will warn you of this immediately.

The Engineers at Gizzmo have designed a new controller that can be massaged to your engine as it's well proven that when it comes to boost, ‘one size fits all’ does not achieve the highest level of performance available. Gizzmo has solved this issue by giving you the ability to offset the IBC-R’s boost duty based on RPM. Essentially you have the power to increase OR decrease boost duty every 500RPM from 2000rpm to 9000rpm. The IBC-R will interpolate (smoothen) the transitions between zones to allow your boost to stay smooth as you accelerate. So, no matter what your boost is doing you can tailor your IBC-R to your mechanical combination to ensure you are getting the very best results available from your mechanical combination.
