GM EFI Tuning Beginners Guide DVD - Greg Bannish
This GM EFI tuning beginners guide DVD has been created by world-famous
engine calibration expert Greg Banish. He shows you step-by-step the correct way
to properly tune your GM EFI-equipped vehicle. Greg Banish is the foremost
expert on EFI tuning and calibration, having performed thousands of calibrations
and also being a keynote speaker at the 2008 Advanced Engine Technology
Conference.
Topics covered in this DVD include:
* EFI tuning training
* Fuel injector tables
* Mass airflow sensor training
* Volumetric efficiency tuning
* Tips for using HP tuners and EFI live
Greg Banish is a mechanical engineer and motorsports enthusiast who works as
an OEM calibrator by day and professional engine tuner in his spare time. After
studying for a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering at
GMI Engineering & Management Institute
(Kettering University), he wrote his thesis on vehicle instrumentation and
measurement. Putting this education to practical use, he founded his own
performance shop outside of Detroit and has served local enthusiasts, shops,
automotive companies and OEMs.
Greg spent three years working for General Motors as the hybrid powertrain
calibration engineer responsible for the
Chevrolet Volt fuel
economy and emissions. Now he works for
Power-Tec Engineering as the senior engineer for supercharger systems. He
is a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers
and SEMA. To this day, he continues to serve the
performance industry providing EFI calibration and consulting services to shops
as well as authoring two books on EFI tuning. (Engine
Management: Advanced Tuning,
Designing and Tuning High-Performance Fuel Injection Systems, both from
CarTech books’ S-A Design Series) With over a thousand aftermarket calibrations
performed, he has had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of engines and
control systems. He also enjoys instructing at
3Balls Racing open track events,
wakeboarding, and waterskiing.
GM Advanced EFI Tuning DVD - Greg Bannish
GM Advanced EFI Tuning DVD continues the Calibrated Success
learning to defeat complex tuning issues! OEM engineer, Greg Banish, uses
straight forward language and live examples to cover more advanced calibration
topics. Properly dialing in large flow rate injectors, making big horsepower,
and dealing with larger camshafts are just some of the challenges that will be
covered.

Master EFI Tuner - GM by Don Maslic
EFI Master EFI Tuner - GM EFI was written by Dan Maslic with one goal in
mind: To show you how to tune almost any engine combination imaginable using
commonly available tuning software and a simple, straight-forward tuning
process. This second edition of Master EFI Tuner - GM EFI will provide you with
all of the necessary theoretical knowledge required to understand General
Motors' EFI systems without boring you with unnecessary informational "fluff".
What you get in this EFI tuning book is straight-forward,
right-down-to-the-heart-of-the-matter information that is easily understood and
immediately useable by you to tune your own engine! The book does this using a
very simple format... First, the concepts and relevant theory of GM EFI is
spelled out in very simple terms that are easy to understand. This allows you to
gain the necessary knowledge and insight required to confidently approach any GM
EFI system that needs tuning. Second, a universal, yet very detailed tuning
process is provided in a step-by-step format that allows you to follow the
relevant steps required to tune GM's late-model EFI systems.
The detailed tuning process covers everything from basic system settings up
to providing detailed information on how to correctly tune by recalibrating a
Mass Air Flow sensor and correctly setting the Volumetric Efficiency table(s).
The step-by-step process is easy to follow and can be applied on almost any GM
EFI system. Third, the tuning process is reinforced with 3 different case
studies that show how the tuning process is applied using real-world examples.
Case studies include different vehicles tht have been modified from mild to
wild. Vehicle examples include...
* 2007 Chevrolet Corvette - Stock car with mild modifications.
* 2006 Chevy SSR - Stock
* 1998 Chevrolet Camaro - Heavily modified car equipped with Nitrous Oxide,
high-lift/duration camshaft, cold-air intake, 85mm MAF, long-tube headers and
full performance exhaust.
* 2002 Camaro SS - Turbocharged application
* 2006 Turbocharged LS7-powered Factory Five GTM.
By examining the case studies, you will see how the tuning process applies to
late-model GM powertrains. You can do it! After reading Master EFI Tuner - GM
EFI, you will be able to tune your own car!
• Basic theory and operation of GM EFI systems
• Basic theory behind engine tuning
• EFI tuning theory including fuel and ignition considerations
• 6 case studies!
• 3 case studies featuring HP Tuners tuning software
• 3 case studies featuring EFILive tuning software
• All case studies include step-by-step tuning process, illustrations and dyno
graphs showing the real-world results and performance impacts that result from
each step of the tuning process.
